Dinner with a Stranger.

I had dinner with a stranger last night.

I met him on the outside of a parking lot. From far away I noticed his Bible so while he was praying I worked up the courage to interrupt him and offer him a few dollars. He started talking about God and how He was encouraged by the younger generations and children. They have energy and fearlessness that tends to fade through the ages. I asked him if he had eaten that day and he hadn't so we walked into a restaurant. We chatted about God and family. I shared with Him my ambitions and my fears that these dreams are selfish. He encouraged me like how a father would speak to his daughter. And then I understood what it meant when Jesus said...

'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:40

God spoke to me through a stranger, and a person who is living without a home on earth. But he asks for nothing because he knows his home is in Jesus.
